When you’re a caregiver, grief doesn’t always wait until a definitive end. You may grieve the loss of routines, roles, future plans, and the relationship as it once was—while your loved one is still here. This is anticipatory grief, and it’s common for caregivers facing serious illness or progressive change. This session explores how grief can sneak out sideways as anger, sadness, emotional numbness, or denial—and how compassion, support, and practical coping strategies can help you carry it differently.

Caregiver Chats are designed to provide a space to openly share and discuss what’s happening in your life as a caregiver. Join us for insightful conversations about common caregiving topics, plus discover helpful resources and gain insight from professionals and your peers.
