Who Is a Caregiver?

Who's a caregiver? Who me? Naw, I just look after Mom and Dad who have memory changes.

Caregiver?

Nope, I just run meals over and do laundry.

Caregiver?

Well sure, I help with bathing, appointments, medication. You know. Caregivers tend to undervalue the support offered. They minimize the services because they "just love him/her/them."

But, the people we help out in little or large ways wouldn't do that. They know that our help makes all the difference for them. It brightens their day. Lightens their load. Reassures them regularly. And eases their minds.

Caregiver? Me? Yup, I guess I am.
